What started out as a peaceful day for Oscar sooned turned into a violent altercation.

The Chesnaught was minding his own business, tending to the garden that his master had recently set up. It was something the normally gentle Grass-type took pride in. That was, until an unfamiliar Munchlax managed to worm its way onto the property. The Munchlax, clearly being hungry, attempted to Bulldoze the berry trees down, desperate for some kind of snack. This did not fly over well with the Grass-type in the slightest.

Bulking Up in anticipation for the fight, the Chesnaught stormed over to where the Munchlax was. The Munchlax would attempt to slow the Chesnaught down with a Bulldoze. The Chesnaught barely stumbled, before continuing his advance and attempting to smack the Munchlax down with a Hammer Arm. The Munchlax just barely managed to Rollout of the way of the attack. In response, he would beat his paws against his belly, grimacing from the pain as the Belly Drum was felt, but so too was the massive boost in fighting spirit.

The Munchlax would leap at the Chesnaught, attempting to lick him with his foul tongue. The Chesnaught, in response, raised a Spiky Shield to meet his tongue, blocking the attack, and causing the Munchlax to cut up his tongue badly.

The Munchlax let out a groan of pain and fear, before the Chesnaught would finish him off by launching a Seed Bomb at the creature point-blank. The seed would drop and shatter on the Munchlax's head, knocking him unconscious.

Brutus, hearing the commotion, went to investiage the scene, only to see that Oscar had things under control. The Pangoro would grab the unconscious Munchlax, before carrying him off the estate grounds, letting the creature wake up later, and hopefully get the message through his head that the berries in the Garden were not his free food.

LIKE A MOTH TO A FLAME

In response to the presence of the intruder, Clint the Dartrix would begin to cry out as loudly as he could, in an attempt to alert anyone he could to the presence of the Rocket. Oscar, on the other hand, would step up to meet the woman and her Venomoth, a harsh look in his eyes as he looks up at them.

Letting out an intense growl, the Chesnaught steps in front of the targeted tree, raising his arms to form a Spiky Shield. The Venomoth's attempt at cutting down the trees would be met by his collision into the Spiky Shield, causing him to recoil back and let out a cry of pain. "Dammit!", the Grunt practically growled. "Make this little bastard pay! Supersonic and Bug Buzz!", the woman practically howled.

The Venomoth would emit a Supersonic wave from his eyes at the Chesnaught, who could only stand by and guard the trees, lest the insect get an opening to bowl them over. Oscar's concentration begins to visibly falter as double vision sets in. The Bug Buzz that would come would cause the Grass-type to grasp his ears in agony, his distorted senses not helping things in the slightest.

"That's the stuff!", cackled the Grunt. "Now give it a taste of your Toxic juices!"

Oscar would find himself defenseless as the Venomoth took aim, and attempted to hose him down in toxic sludge. But before the sludge could make contact, an Alakazam would manifest in front of him, alerted to the commotion, and teleporting to shield his comrade. The toxic liquid would instead be sprayed over his body, subjecting him to the effects of Toxic. Despite this, Freke was unflinching, and didn't seem alarmed in the slightest.

"Another one!? What a pain in the ass! Leech Life this little bastard, then finish off the rest!", the woman shrieked.

The Venomoth would lunge at the Alakazam, attempting to latch onto the Psychic-types head, before biting down on it. For his part, Freke would merely stand there, watching intently as the insect approached. Once it was close enough, Freke would teleport out of the way quickly, causing the Venomoth to fly into thin air, barely keeping himself from skidding into the grass below. Freke would emerge behind the Venomoth, much to the Grunt's horror.

"Behind you!", she cried out.

Despite her best attempt at warning her companion of the impending threat, Freke managed to get the jump on the creature. Upon emerging, Freke would grab the Venomoth with a Psychic hold, before repeatedly slamming and smearing the insect across the ground. Though he was careful not to kill the creature, the attack would do considerable damage to the bug, crushing and deforming its wings, and battering its body brutally.

By the time Freke was done, the Venomoth had lost consciousness. If he were to make it, the Grunt would have to get the insect medical attention, and fast.

"Damn you!", the woman growled, recalling her Venomoth as quickly as she could, before making a beeline towards the nearest exit.

Before she could make her escape, Freke would attempt to pick her up with Telekinesis. Meanwhile, a Galvantula would emerge from the shrubs, taking aim, and firing off a weakened Electroweb at the woman. This Electroweb was brought down to a level where it would merely incapacitate her without doing any permanent damage to her.

"Take her alive, if you can!", a familiar voice called out.

It was just another peaceful day of tending to the garden for Oscar the Chesnaught. When he spotted a Swalot moving towards the garden, the Grass-type immediately got into a defensive stance, ready to protect the garden, if needed. The Swalot, seeing the Grass-type stand between her, and delicious berries, fired off a Sludge Bomb at the protector of the garden. Oscar would raise a Spiky Shield in order to defend himself, managing to block off the Sludge Bomb, and prevent it from hitting him, or the berries.

The Swalot, being angry, would emit a cloud of Poison Gas from her mouth, enveloping the Chesnaught within. Unable to leave his post, out of fear of the Poison-type gaining an opening, all Oscar could do was helplessly choke in the cloud of Poison Gas, becoming ill in the process. With this opportunity, the Swalot fired off another Sludge Bomb at her opponent, this time managing to strike the creature with the ball of sludge successfully. On one knee, and unable to get up, the Chesnaught was at the mercy of the Swalot.

That was, until Freke, having seen the commotion from the window, Teleported behind the Swalot, and immediately grabbed her with a Psychic hold, and slammed her into the ground forcefully. The Poison-type's eyes would widen in shock, and she would let out a groan of pain as she was slammed into the ground. Despite this, the sentient, purple blob managed to turn to face the Alakazam, and quickly fired off a Toxic glob at the Psychic-type. Freke would simply stand there any allow himself to get Toxified, before retaliating with a Psychic blast.

This time, the attack was enough to bring her down. Freke would use Telekinesis to move the creature out of the garden. While this was going on, a pair of Audino would rush out of the back door, immediately tending to the sick, wheezing Chesnaught. They would start by using Heal Pulse to try to relieve the injuries he sustained, before their natural ability as Healers allowed them to relieve the Grass-type of his affliction.

Despite Magic Guard shielding him from the negative effects of the Toxic sludge he was coated in, the two Audino still saw fit to treat Freke once he had finished removing the intruder, relieving him of the Toxic effects on him.

Today, it was not only Oscar the Chesnaught that was tending to the Garden, but Thomas himself. Dressed in a dirty pair of jeans, a simple t-shirt, and old, dirt caked boots, Thomas decided that today was a good day to do some daily maintenance on the Garden. Sure, Oscar could've been tasked with this sort of thing, but to someone like Thomas, he felt the need to do things like this himself.

As he was tending to his garden, he'd spot a Rowlet landing in the nearby tree. The Rowlet looked to be hungry, and was about to take a bite from his tree. "Hey, little one, I've got something even better!", he'd call out to the Rowlet, before pulling out a treat from his bag. The Rowlet's attention was brought to the scent of the treat he brought out. Thomas held it out to the Rowlet, who took a moment to take in its scent, before taking a bite out of it. The Rowlet let out a satisfied cry after eating the treat.

"You enjoy that, buddy? I've got more in the bag.", he'd tell the Rowlet, beckoning the creature to follow him. As Thomas walked over, the Rowlet glided over to the bag. Thomas would reach in, and hand the Rowlet another treat, and then another, allowing the Rowlet to eat until he got his fill. Finally, the Rowlet sprawled out onto the ground, so stuffed that he couldn't even get himself to fly away. Thomas smiled at the Rowlet, happy that it all worked out. But then, this was Clint's favorite treat, even to this day, so the fact that the Rowlet would take such a liking to it came as no surprise to him.

"If you want to join me, I'd let you have all that you could ever want.", Thomas offered the Rowlet, while holding out a Pokeball for the creature.
